I have maintained a small, part-time private practice since December 2000, specializing in substance abuse, dual-diagnosis, depression/anxiety, stress and anger management, and crisis stabilization. I recently moved my practice from Florida to North Carolina.

Mental Health Clinician working for Psychiatric Intake in the Emergency Department. Provide Psychiatric consults for the Emergency Room Physicians, including assessment, evaluation, placement and coordination of services for patients seeking help in a mental health crisis.

Care management and utilization review for inpatient psychiatric providers and facilities in the southeastern United States. Assigned to high risk, complex case team.

As a distance learning adjunct faculty member, previously taught in the traditional classroom, but now teach in the online environment. Developed and currently teach the following online courses: SYG 2324: “Principles of Substance Abuse”; and HUS 2428: “Treatment and Resources in Substance Abuse”. My online courses have received excellent reviews from students for their organization and ease-of-understanding. I was offered the opportunity to remain as a distance-learning faculty member for this Florida institution, despite moving to North Carolina.
